Inspiring Generations to Defend Truth with Courage
Washington, D.C. — September 10, 2025 – The Family Preservation Alliance (FPA) mourns the tragic passing of Charlie Kirk, founder and CEO of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), a fierce advocate for faith, liberty, and family whose leadership profoundly shaped millions.
Charlie launched Turning Point USA in 2012 at age 18, steadily growing it into one of the most impactful conservative youth movements in America. Today, TPUSA counts more than 250,000 student members and operates on over 3,500 high school and college campuses nationwide. Its mission—to educate, train, and organize students to uphold the principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government—mirrors FPA’s dedication to defending and strengthening the family, the bedrock of society.

We have lost a patriot, a brother, and a man who refused to back down.”
Charlie himself once reminded us:
“If you believe in something, you need to have the courage to fight for those ideas — not run away from them or try and silence them.”
That spirit of fearless advocacy defined his life’s work. It is the same conviction that drives the Family Preservation Alliance: to safeguard children and families, empower voices too often silenced, and protect the fundamental values that bind our society together.
Guided by his Christian faith, Charlie tirelessly championed strong families as the foundation of freedom. He believed that American youth would—and should—lead with courage, conviction, and moral clarity. His legacy offers a blueprint for future generations: to defend truth, stand boldly for family, and never surrender the values that strengthen our nation.
We extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to Charlie’s wife Erika, children, family, colleagues, and the millions of students and supporters who carry forward his vision. May his legacy endure—in every life he changed, and in every voice he inspired to speak truth with courage.
