The Family Preservation Alliance (FPA) is honored to be one of the lead organizers of Scars to STARs Day, a landmark global summit taking place on May 16, 2025, during Mental Health Awareness Month. This free, virtual event will unite survivors, advocates, clinicians, and world leaders to confront the trauma epidemic and accelerate solutions rooted in science, compassion, and lived experience.
FPA is joined by four co-lead organizers, each playing a vital role in transforming how we respond to trauma worldwide:

Together, we have curated a one-day event that bridges lived experience with leadership across healthcare, education, corporate HR, family courts, and recovery systems.
The summit will feature an extraordinary lineup of distinguished guest speakers, including:
- The Honorable Patrick J. Kennedy, founder of The Kennedy Forum and leading national voice on mental health parity
- Jennifer Libby, award-winning suicide prevention advocate and founder of Promly
- Dr. Jamie Huysman, Founder of the STAR Network Foundation and trailblazer in trauma-informed behavioral health
- Marjorie Morrison, Co-Founder & CEO of Psych Hub and Executive in Residence for Mental Health at SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management)

- Giselle Faubel, PsyD, Executive Director of Equidelics, advancing neuroscience-based solutions for trauma healing
- Richard Grannon, international trauma educator and expert in narcissistic abuse recovery
