Networking & Partnerships
Our approach is to forge meaningful partnerships and collaborations with like-minded organizations and institutions worldwide. We believe that your role in this mission is crucial, as we pool resources, expertise, and innovation to create impactful solutions.
By cultivating a diverse network of partnerships with universities, mental health organizations, government agencies, for profit and not for profit organizations and NGOs, we strengthen our collective effort against abuse. Through collaboration, we advocate for preserving family bonds, recognizing the importance of empathy and compassion in our work.
The Family Preservation Alliance works closely with the STAR Network™, a foundation committed to raising global awareness and providing treatment for individuals whose emotional reality has been distorted by narcissistic abuse. STAR Network’s mission is to support men, women, the LGBTQ+ community, tweens and teens, families, alienated parents, workers, and caregivers navigating or recovering from Toxic Abuse Relationships (TAR). Through partnerships with subject matter experts, affiliate organizations, and our dedicated donor community, the Family Preservation Alliance and STAR Network Foundation offer programs designed to guide you out of the fog of abuse and into the light of healing.
The Family Preservation Alliance is deeply concerned about the urgent mental health crisis facing both the United States and the world. Among the organizations leading the way in addressing this challenge, we are proud to highlight the extraordinary efforts of Bring Change to Mind (BC2M), Promly, and The Kennedy Forum—three trailblazing initiatives reshaping how we understand, talk about, and respond to mental health.
Mental illness affects one in four people at some point in their lives. Yet, despite the availability of effective treatments, more than half of those struggling never seek help—largely because of stigma. This silence and misunderstanding deny millions the opportunity to lead full, successful lives.
Bring Change to Mind (BC2M), founded in 2010 by acclaimed actress Glenn Close, has become a national leader in dismantling stigma and normalizing conversations about mental health. By harnessing the power of media and celebrity voices, BC2M has sparked dialogue across the country through impactful Public Service Announcements (PSAs) and evidence-based peer-to-peer programs in high schools and universities. Their initiatives have touched more than 2 billion people and directly engaged over 80,000 students, inspiring a cultural shift toward openness, compassion, and understanding.
Promly, founded by Dr. Jennifer Libby, builds on this momentum with a bold, youth-driven approach. Promly integrates mental health support, community, and technology into an accessible platform designed specifically for Gen Z. By giving young people tools to connect, access resources, and find belonging, Promly empowers them to proactively address mental health challenges and reduce the isolation that too often contributes to crisis. Their innovation ensures that solutions are not only effective but also meet young people where they are.
The Kennedy Forum, founded by former U.S. Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy, advances a national dialogue on mental health and addiction policy. By championing parity, equity, and integration of mental health into overall health care, The Kennedy Forum works at the highest levels of government, business, and society to drive systemic change. Their leadership has elevated mental health to a central policy priority, building momentum for legislative reform and international cooperation.
Together, Bring Change to Mind, Promly, and The Kennedy Forum exemplify the resilience, innovation, and compassion needed to confront the global mental health crisis. Their complementary missions—BC2M breaking stigma through storytelling and advocacy, Promly empowering youth with technology-driven connection, and The Kennedy Forum driving policy reform and systemic change—offer a powerful, united model of hope for the future.
The Family Preservation Alliance proudly stands with these organizations in the fight to end stigma, strengthen families, and build a healthier, more compassionate world.
