Board & Governance Announcement

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — December 17, 2025 — The Family Preservation Alliance today highlights a significant governance milestone announced by the STAR Network Foundation, following its recent Board meeting in Fort Lauderdale. The Foundation formally ratified new members of its Board of Directors and approved key leadership and governance actions designed to strengthen oversight, accountability, and responsible global growth.

These actions position STAR Network Foundation to scale trauma-informed mental-health education, peer-led recovery, and international support initiatives at a time when families and communities worldwide are facing unprecedented levels of trauma, disconnection, and mental-health strain.


Board Ratifications

The STAR Network Foundation Board formally ratified the following Directors:

  • Carey Sipp, nationally recognized leader in the ACEs and trauma-informed movement and contributor to PACEs Connection
  • John S. Hamel, Jr., executive leader and global mental-health advocate
  • Dr. Antonio DeFelippo, physician specializing in whole-person health, prevention, and trauma-informed care

Leadership & Governance Appointments

The Board also approved the following leadership and governance appointments:

  • Rose Biedron, Founder of House Calls, appointed Board Secretary
  • John S. Hamel, Jr., approved as Vice Chairman of the Board

In addition, the Board accepted the Foundation’s Financial and Oversight Reports presented by Joe DeAngelo, Treasurer, former Chairman, President, and CEO of HD Supply Holdings, Inc., and former Executive Vice President at The Home Depot, whose extensive fiduciary and governance expertise further strengthens the Foundation’s financial stewardship and compliance framework.
